Peace for Mind, Body, and Soul
At First Presbyterian Church we know the importance of maintaining a healthy mind, body and soul. In 2013 we introduced our Christian Yoga and Meditation program to provide our congregation and community with a regular practice that would help restore and maintain inner peace and relaxation in an environment designed to enhance and grow one’s personal relationship with God. The program has grown over the last 3 years from a one Sunday morning yoga class to now offering several classes throughout the week.
The program is led by certified Yoga Instructor David Bogdanos. David has been a yoga practitioner for the past 15 years. He became a certified yoga instructor in 2010, and has been trained by some of the top yoga teachers in the tri-state area. His
philosophy on yoga is a compilation of all the wonderful teachers he
has had the privilege to study under. The weekly sessions are suitable for all ages and fitness levels and no prior experience in yoga or meditation is necessary. All in the community are welcomed and encouraged to come and experience this unique fusion of spiritual yoga. Walk-ins are always welcomed. Come for one session or come for them all - there is always a warm welcome. Please join us anytime!
