First Pres Kids, Welcome

Hi First Pres Kids!

First Presbyterian Church of Rutherford welcomes families with children of all ages. We offer nursery care in our Karen Kaiser Parish House during the 10:00 am Sunday service. We offer a fun and engaging Sunday School program for children in Pre-K through 8th. First Pres Kids meets during the 10:00 am Sunday service, dismissed after the children’s message. We use a theme based curriculum to teach God’s Word in a relevant way. It is our goal to help children grow in wisdom, faith, & friendship. Throughout the year we offer fun activities for the whole family.

First Pres Kids Sunday School NewsGENEROSITY. Our theme for December is GENEROSITY. God is love. He is good and always giving. When we give to others as He gives to us, we are blessed for honoring Him and sharing His love with the world. This month we celebrate the birth of Jesus, God’s most amazing and generous gift. May the spirit of Christmas inspire you to look for ways to give all year long. Our memory verse is “Command the rich to do what is good. Tell them to be rich in doing good things. They must give freely. They must be willing to share.”  1 Timonthy 6:18, NIrV.  Merry Christmas!

Crazy Fun with Bread... This is Sunday School???

Our First Sunday School in November (topic: Service!) was loads of fun as we broke out the really stale bread and let the kids go wild (what kid isn't totally into bread wars?!). Yup, we were feeding the birds on the church lawn (service to nature!) in the most creative of ways, What a fun start to the month of giving! Don't miss out on learning about God's truths and having a great time while we do that - Sunday School is during the 10am Service after the "time with children."  See you there!
